BDKL 11th Annivesary - Open Mix and Match Competition

Blues Dancing KL’s 11th Anniversary: Open Mix & Match Competition

For our 11th Anniversary weekend, we are hosting an Open Mix & Match Competition!

This is an "Open" level division - meaning it is open to everyone, from beginners to seasoned dancers. You'll register as an individual, get paired with random partners, and dance to incredible music curated by our weekend DJs.

Why Enter?

This competition is all about the joy of the social dance floor. It's a supportive, high-energy environment where the crowd cheers and the focus is entirely on having fun together!

How It Works:

• Preliminaries: You will dance in short heats to different songs of varying tempos, rotating to a new, random partner for each song. Judges score you entirely as an individual.

• Finals: The top dancers will be paired up randomly by drawing names out of a hat. You will stay with this partner for a thrilling showcase featuring a mix of spotlights and an all-skate. Judges will rank you as a couple.

Registration Details:

• Roles: You can register as a Lead, a Follow, or as Both (we will assign you where the numbers need balancing to ensure maximum dancing for everyone!)

• Requirement: You must hold a valid Weekend Pass to enter

• Fee: RM30 per entry

Spaces are limited to ensure balanced heats, so lock in your spot now!
